WITHDRAWAL FROM LESLI LIST

The SLA has been requested by the California Department of Insurance ("Department") to advise its Members that Lloyd’s Syndicates #159, #178, #473, #500, #545, #1165, #1205, #1208, #1210, and #1215 have been removed from the List of Eligible Surplus Line Insurers ("LESLI") effective January 1, 1999. As of that date, these syndicates are no longer eligible to write new or renewal business in California.

Attached (PDF Format 106K) for your record, is a copy of the official letter from the Department. In addition, the official letter removing syndicates #123, #955, and #2176 is also enclosed. These syndicates were removed from the LESLI effective April 1, 1998 (see SLA Bulletin #826).
