RE: HIH Casualty and General Insurance Company Limited (Australia)
WITHDRAWAL from the LESLI

The California Department of Insurance ("Department") has requested the SLA advise its Members that, effective December 23, 1999, HIH Casualty and General Insurance Company Limited (Australia) has formally withdrawn from the California surplus line market. This company is hereby removed from the List of Eligible Surplus Line Insurers ("LESLI") and is no longer eligible to write new or renewal business in California as of that date.
