The Bulletin regarding the 1998 "Filing requirements for Eligible Surplus Lines Insurers" was mailed on February 18^th under SLA Bulletin #819. The requirements for 1998 are similar to those in 1997. To date, there are 298 companies on the California List of Eligible Surplus Line Insurers ("LESLI"): 93 Foreign (U.S. domiciled), 42 Alien (insurers domiciled outside of U.S.), and 163 Lloyd’s of London Syndicates
